Venus Viva™ is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) technology to improve the appearance of the skin. Here's how it works:

First, the area to be treated is cleaned and a numbing cream may be applied to ensure the patient's comfort during the procedure. Then, the Venus Viva™ device is used to deliver controlled, fractional RF energy into the skin using tiny pins. This creates micro-dermal wounds in the skin, which triggers the body's natural healing response and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen and elastin are two proteins that give the skin its elasticity and firmness. As we age, the production of these proteins slows down, which can lead to fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. By stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, Venus Viva™ can help improve skin texture, tone, and firmness, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

For successful, long-term outcome we recommend 1-3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This allows for a proper healing and remodelling process.

Ultimately, the number of treatments required will vary from patient to patient and will be assessed during your consultation. The treatment price will be based on the treatment surface area and the number of treatments required. It will be tailored to meet your specific needs.

Most treatments are scheduled for 30-45 minutes based on the treatment surface area. A numbing cream will be applied for 10-15 min prior to treatment to insure your comfort during the procedure.

Clean your skin thoroughly. Do not apply any skincare, makeup, or self-tanning lotion, and avoid tanning before your treatment session. Remove jewellery around the area being treated. 

Due to the unique nature of the treatment head and the RF delivery, the majority of the ablation from the procedure occurs under the skin, as sublative rejuvenation, allowing for less downtime. Immediately after the treatment, the skin will be red and warm which will resolve in a few hours. Some mild sunburn sensation and redness post-treatment is to be expected, which will generally subside within 36 hours. We suggest that you do not apply any products to the skin for the first 48 hours after the procedure. Avoid any sun exposure for 72 hours following your treatment. A mineral makeup can be applied 48 hours after your treatment. 

Broad spectrum sun protection with SPF of 30 is recommended for daily use thereafter.

After your final treatment, your results will continue to improve. However, a maintenance treatment is recommended every 6-12 months.
